Samsung to begin manufacturing of 64-layer 3D NAND this year.

t looks just as Samsung will beat Toshiba on 64-layer 3D NAND with production beginning before the year’s over.
Earlier this week, Toshiba told, They Will Start Production of 64-layer 3D NAND in H1 2017.
According to Samsung, “our development plan for fourth-generation V-NAND and mass production of 18nm DRAM is progressing smoothly.”
According to Samsung “requirement of high-density solution products is expected to increase, which is used in major SSD and mobile applications, supply and demand is expected to become much tighter in the second half due to supply restrictions caused by 3D NAND ramp-up delays in the market.” it’s a bit too soon for us to talk an utmost of how many layers can be made.
